Watch The Avengers - Filming Scheduled!

Word on the street is that The Avengers is going to start filming in February 2011.

Joss Whedon will be putting the finishing touches on the story and script and getting all of his thoughts in order before everyone goes to Los Angeles to start shooting the movie.

It looks like there may even be some over lapping of Marvel filming as the Spider-Man Reboot is scheduled to start shooting in Los Angeles in December.

So, with things now only a few short months away stay tuned for more information and hopefully some set photos from what will be the biggest Superhero Movie ever made.

Watch The Green Lantern - First Look @ Kilowog!

Yesterday this photo showed up online with what may be our first look at Kilowog in The Green Lantern.

There's a chance that this is a fake, but I think this could be it.

So take a look at the shot on the right and decide how you feel about it. It's pretty good in my mind.

And now that filming has wrapped we should soon get verification and maybe even a trailer!

What do you think?

Watch The Green Lantern - Filming Wrapped!

That's right kids. The Green Lantern has wrapped in New Orleans and now everyone on the cast side will get some time off to get ready for The Green Lantern 2 while the editing team gets busy polishing the finished product for us.

Everyone seems very happy with how things have turned out including Geoff Johns who had this to say on Twitter: “GREEN LANTERN IS WRAPPED!!!! Finished the last shot today!!! Celebrating in New Orleans. :) As co-producer of the film, I am very, very proud of what we’ve got in store. Much more to come. Martin Campbell FTW.”

I'm happy that everything stayed on schedule for the cast and crew and am even more excited that there will soon be real movie footage to turn into good trailers for all of us to look at and drool over.

Stay tuned for more information as The Green Lantern turns a big corner and gets ready for the release June 17, 2011.

Watch Captain America: The First Avenger - Comic Con Panel Clip!

Just like with Thor, there's an edited clip from the Captain America: The First Avenger portion of the Marvel panel at Comic Con. This one is a little shorter and there isn't as much ceremony with the cast introductions. But it's still cool to see since I wasn't there.

Take a look and see how Chris Evans is filling out that shirt of his. I don't think there will be a problem believing him as the super soldier.

Enjoy!

Watch The Green Lantern - Behind The Scenes Clip!

The local news crew in New Orleans got some pretty cool access to the set of DC's The Green Lantern and were able to bring us a look at what's been going on with filming down there.

There aren't any clips of the stars of the movie. But that's okay. They'll come soon enough. It's nice just to get a sense of what they're up to.

Have a look and get ready for more access and the clips that come from it in the future.

And for more information from The Green Lantern feature click the link and check out the blog!

Enjoy!

Watch Thor - Comic Con Panel Clip!

A quick clip has been cut together from the Marvel panel at Comic Con showing off some of the major players in the cast of Thor and a quick answer from Chris Hemsworth about what it was like learning how to be the God of Thunder.

Take a look and imagine that we could have been there with them.

Maybe next year.

Enjoy!

Watch The Avengers - Ruffalo Talks About The Hulk!

After the Marvel panel, where Mark Ruffalo got a huge pop when he was introduced by Robert Downey Jr. as the next Bruce Banner, life got a little crazy for him.

Everyone wanted to talk to him and ask about the role and the Ed Norton scandal and all of the rest of it. And luckily enough for us Jeff Jensen at Entertainment Weekly had a chance to talk to Ruffalo about taking over the role, and here's what he had to say about the recent revelation:

"It was very exciting — and I realized I had some pretty big shoes to fill. Those were my heroes up there! I was a comic book fan growing up. I loved The Hulk and The Avengers — it’s just strange to be entering that world as an actor. I never would have imagined that before."

As far as the character itself, Ruffalo had this to say:

"He’s a guy struggling with two sides of himself — the dark and the light — and everything he does in his life is filtered through issues of control. I grew up on the Bill Bixby TV series, which I thought was a really nuanced and real human way to look at The Hulk. I like that the part has those qualities."

And some thoughts on taking over the role from his friend Edward Norton after the latter's public feud with Marvel:

"I’m a friend of Ed’s, and yeah, that wasn’t a great way for all that to go down. But the way I see it is that Ed has bequeathed this part to me. I look at it as my generation’s Hamlet."

-
Now, I'm not sure if I would compare The Hulk to Hamlet (and I'm curious as to what Thor and one time Hamlet director Kenneth Branagh thinks about that statement) but I do think that I understand where Ruffalo was coming from with the statement.

What do you think about the whole thing? Will Mark Ruffalo step in and fill the big ripped shorts of The Hulk to your satisfaction? Let us know here or over at The Avengers blog!
