Watch Captain America: The First Avenger - Comic Con Panel Clip!

Just like with Thor, there's an edited clip from the Captain America: The First Avenger portion of the Marvel panel at Comic Con. This one is a little shorter and there isn't as much ceremony with the cast introductions. But it's still cool to see since I wasn't there.

Take a look and see how Chris Evans is filling out that shirt of his. I don't think there will be a problem believing him as the super soldier.

Enjoy!

Watch Thor - Comic Con Panel Clip!

A quick clip has been cut together from the Marvel panel at Comic Con showing off some of the major players in the cast of Thor and a quick answer from Chris Hemsworth about what it was like learning how to be the God of Thunder.

Take a look and imagine that we could have been there with them.

Maybe next year.

Enjoy!

Watch The Avengers - Ruffalo Talks About The Hulk!

After the Marvel panel, where Mark Ruffalo got a huge pop when he was introduced by Robert Downey Jr. as the next Bruce Banner, life got a little crazy for him.

Everyone wanted to talk to him and ask about the role and the Ed Norton scandal and all of the rest of it. And luckily enough for us Jeff Jensen at Entertainment Weekly had a chance to talk to Ruffalo about taking over the role, and here's what he had to say about the recent revelation:

"It was very exciting — and I realized I had some pretty big shoes to fill. Those were my heroes up there! I was a comic book fan growing up. I loved The Hulk and The Avengers — it’s just strange to be entering that world as an actor. I never would have imagined that before."

As far as the character itself, Ruffalo had this to say:

"He’s a guy struggling with two sides of himself — the dark and the light — and everything he does in his life is filtered through issues of control. I grew up on the Bill Bixby TV series, which I thought was a really nuanced and real human way to look at The Hulk. I like that the part has those qualities."

And some thoughts on taking over the role from his friend Edward Norton after the latter's public feud with Marvel:

"I’m a friend of Ed’s, and yeah, that wasn’t a great way for all that to go down. But the way I see it is that Ed has bequeathed this part to me. I look at it as my generation’s Hamlet."

-
Now, I'm not sure if I would compare The Hulk to Hamlet (and I'm curious as to what Thor and one time Hamlet director Kenneth Branagh thinks about that statement) but I do think that I understand where Ruffalo was coming from with the statement.

What do you think about the whole thing? Will Mark Ruffalo step in and fill the big ripped shorts of The Hulk to your satisfaction? Let us know here or over at The Avengers blog!

Watch Thor- The Comic Con Trailer!

So, yesterday I was so desperate for Thor footage that I posted the teaser for the Marvel video game.

But today, today my friends is a great day!

We have the Thor footage that the people at the Marvel panel in San Diego got to see. And I love it.

I've watched it 3 times already and sent the link to all of my friends. And now, you get to watch it with me too.

This is what I've been waiting for since the movie was announced and Kenneth Branagh was tagged to direct.

And I'm not disappointed.

Watch the trailer and get ready for more as we get closer and closer to May 6, 2011.

And for more Thor information, including interviews with Chris Hemsworth, Kat Dennings, Natalie Portman and Clark Gregg click the link and check out the Thor blog!

Watch Thor - Video Game Teaser!

A couple of days ago we posted the long trailer for the DC Universe game. And while this is a movie blog and I don't want to get into a big habit of posting video game stuff, this quick teaser for the Thor video game got me a little excited.

The voice over work at the beginning was probably my highlight. But maybe that's just me.

Take a look at the clip and see what you think. Let us know if you think you'll buy the game. Or if the game will make you want to see the movie.

Watch The Avengers - No Nat Portman!

Natalie Portman confirmed over the weekend that she won't be appearing in The Avengers. At least not in the first movie.

And while that sucks because I love Nat Portman, it makes sense. Would there really be room for Jane Foster in a movie with Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, Hawkeye, Black Widow and The Hulk? What would she do?

Now, rumors are already swirling about The Avengers 2 with Ant-Man and Wasp rumored to be part of that script and the actors looking like Nathan Fillion and Eva Longoria... which we wrote about here back at the end of June. And if rumors are going to swirl, why not add Jane to those rumors. I'm all for it.

So, try not to be sad friends. We still get Natalie Portman in Thor next May!

Watch The Avengers & Thor - Comic Con News!

Thanks to our friends at cinemablend.com, some good questions by reporters and some loose lips by Tom Hiddleston we know more about Thor and potentially The Avengers than we did yesterday.

Hiddleston gives us a quick break down of the mid-film crisis that really sets things in motion and gives some heavy drama to the story.

It's not anything that hasn't been in the Thor comics, but it may be new to a lot of audiences when the film releases. And either way it should work out just fine.

There are also rumors that Loki could be a major player on the villain side when The Avengers comes to the screen the following summer. Now, that has to be taken with a grain of salt because Joss Whedon has been pretty tight lipped about all things related to The Avengers... but we'll see I guess.

Take a look at the clip and hear Loki speak for yourself.

And come back often today and tomorrow as we wrap up Comic Con and some amazing news, photos and clips that came from it!

Enjoy!

Watch Thor - Comic Con Poster!

That's right friends, it's Comic Con season. And photos, posters and trailers will be all over the place by the end of the event I'm sure.

In fact, we already have the San Diego Comic Con poster for Thor has already been released. And I dig it.

Take a look and see what you think. Are you letting your inner geek out this week like I am?

Oh how I wish I could be there. Maybe next year.

Watch Thor - Photos!

Kenneth Branagh's Thor is now filming and photos have started to surface.

There are varying opinions regarding the photos. Especially the one featuring Anthony Hopkins as Odin in the forefront. I have heard a lot of people say that the costume looks silly. And the eye patch seems to be getting the most flack. I think that things are a little shiny for my tastes.

The newest photo shows us the Hall of Asgard from a short distance. I think that the set looks good. And for comic book folks this is a set that holds significance.

Take a look for yourself and see what you think of the look of the movie so far.

And come back for more information as soon as we can find it.
