Watch The Avengers - No Nat Portman!

Natalie Portman confirmed over the weekend that she won't be appearing in The Avengers. At least not in the first movie.

And while that sucks because I love Nat Portman, it makes sense. Would there really be room for Jane Foster in a movie with Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, Hawkeye, Black Widow and The Hulk? What would she do?

Now, rumors are already swirling about The Avengers 2 with Ant-Man and Wasp rumored to be part of that script and the actors looking like Nathan Fillion and Eva Longoria... which we wrote about here back at the end of June. And if rumors are going to swirl, why not add Jane to those rumors. I'm all for it.

So, try not to be sad friends. We still get Natalie Portman in Thor next May!

Watch The Avengers - Cast Revealed At Comic Con!

I am happy to post this clip because anyone who wishes that they were in San Diego at Comic Con and wishes that they could have been there to see the revealing of the cast of The Avengers and wishes that they could have yelled and screamed and clapped along now can.

Take a look at this clip and watch as an all-star line-up of superheros walks out onto the stage together and shows us just how big The Avengers is going to be. There's no getting around it.

And not matter how much Joss Whedon may joke, I believe that he will write and direct a fantastic movie that will bring all of the characters together and blow our minds.

Watch The DC Universe - Trailer!

This goes out to anyone who has ever dreamed of a DC Universe movie.

The new DC Universe video game is coming. And this trailer sets the whole thing up for you. It's amazing. It's engaging. And it drew me in right away.

Take a look and dream on the potential for more of the DC animated features like Batman: Under The Red Hood and Superman/ Batman: Apocalypse.

Watch The Green Lantern - Panel Clips And The Oath!

Warner Bros. knew that the panel for The Green Lantern would go a long way in building buzz and hype for next summer's movie. And by all accounts they did a great job giving the fans in San Diego exactly what they wanted.

This clip gives some of the highlights from the panel, and if you don't watch it til the end you won't get the chills that I did when I watched it. It is the most adorable moment of Comic Con followed by the words that fans of The Green Lantern have been waiting to hear since the movie was announced.

Watch The Avengers & Thor - Comic Con News!

Thanks to our friends at cinemablend.com, some good questions by reporters and some loose lips by Tom Hiddleston we know more about Thor and potentially The Avengers than we did yesterday.

Hiddleston gives us a quick break down of the mid-film crisis that really sets things in motion and gives some heavy drama to the story.

It's not anything that hasn't been in the Thor comics, but it may be new to a lot of audiences when the film releases. And either way it should work out just fine.

There are also rumors that Loki could be a major player on the villain side when The Avengers comes to the screen the following summer. Now, that has to be taken with a grain of salt because Joss Whedon has been pretty tight lipped about all things related to The Avengers... but we'll see I guess.

Watch The Green Hornet - Britt Reid's Comic Con Garage!

Britt Reid's garage has been recreated in San Diego for Comic Con, and they've done a wonderful job putting it together.

Fans will have the opportunity to check it all out and there are rumors that you will even be able to hop into Black Beauty with one of the lovely booth girls and cruise through downtown San Diego.

Watch The Avengers - Joss Whedon Is In!

Sometimes there's news that everyone knows already, everyone in the world. And yet it needs to be told on a big stage anyway.

That's what happened Thursday at Comic Con in San Diego as Joss Whedon officially announced that he will directing Marvel's live action feature film, The Avengers.

By now most people had just accepted this point as fact and we've been wondering more about the casting choice for The Hulk since Ed Norton is no longer involved.

The rumor I'm hearing most strongly is that Mark Ruffalo will be the next Bruce Banner. But we'll have to see how that one plays out.

For now at least we know that Whedon is in for the long haul and has started working on the story and the script. That makes me happy.
